The HTC Touch Pro

Call it Raphael no longer! HTC has officially thrown the cover off its Touch Pro today — the QWERTY slider sibling of the recently-unveiled Touch Diamond – which should cover the bases for those who loved the Diamond’s keen looks but decided they’d go our of their gourds without a full set of physical keys at their disposal. Under that glossy black shell lies WiFi, HSPA with a solid 7.2Mbps on the downstream, Bluetooth, 2.8-inch VGA display, Windows Mobile 6.1 featuring HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a half gig of ROM, and 288MB of RAM. It’s not going to win any “world’s thinnest” records with an 18.05mm waistline, but those five rows of textual healing don’t come without a price. The first batch of devices will be Europe-bound in “late summer” with 900 / 2100MHz 3G alongside the quadband GSM and EDGE; North and Latin American versions are promised for later in the year.

FIFA Soccer 09 for PSP

November 13, 2008 – Football may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think about portable gaming, but that hasn’t stopped EA Sports from bringing its perennial international contender to the PSP yet again. It brings with it an enhanced animation system, Be A Pro Seasons and other slight refinements that help make this a worthy addition to the FIFA family.
Oddly enough the Be A Pro mode in FIFA 09 on PSP is the best Be A Pro for the game, regardless of the system. It’s a bit more forgiving in its design and the player progression is enhanced by the fact that you actually increase your role and get new abilities as your career picks up steam. Unlike versions on other systems, FIFA 09 on the PSP allows you to unlock things like calling for a shot, calling for a through ball, becoming a free kick taker and finally team management. There are several other influences that can be earned over time and it’s by far the best sense of progression any of the Be A Pro modes.

The camera angle also works better on the PSP than it does on the PS2. It comes with a display that shows positive and negative results from your play and there are cues that pop up over your head when you call for certain passes. I also found it to be a bit easier to get in on the action on PSP. The field doesn’t feel as expansive on the smaller screen which makes it much easier to feel involved in the action.

Overall, FIFA Soccer 09 on PSP is a solid addition to the FIFA Soccer series. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for soccer gaming on the go.

AhMan, developer of the popular and multi-purpose shell replacement for the PSP, has released v4.7. New to this version is complete support for custom firmware 5.00 M33, the latest Popsloader giving you the ability to launch PSone games from within iR Shell, enhancement of the HTML Plugin (by Dark_AleX) to allow direct launching of flash games with extension SWF, the Infra-Red learning remote, and many other improvements and bug fixes.

Changelog:
- Support Dark_AleX latest 5.00M33-3 CFWs. Users of original 5.00M33 & M33-2 should upgrade to M33-3 to avoid incompatibility issues. The latest Popsloader 5.00 is also supported.
- An Infra-Red learning remote is added for PSP Phat. You no longer need to hunt pronto codes for your appliances. Just point your remote unit at the PSP and it will learn the iR code. It is available under higher firmwares and not fw 1.5 mode. Refer to the Release Note for usage details.
- The nethostfs connection handling has been redesigned to be more robust. However, iR Shell 4.7 and onwards can only connect to the new nethostfs PC server v2.1. Make sure you’ve updated the nethostfs PC server.
- Enhance UMD/ISO game compatibility via nethostfs MAX mode. Most previous failed games will probably work.
- Usbhostfs & nethostfs host redirection under XMB has returned.
- The Adhoc PC connection for nethostfs was broken since fw 3.71. This feature has been brought back for PSP Phat.
- Enhance the HTML Plugin (by Dark_AleX) to allow direct launching of flash games with extension SWF.

Coming Soon…can’t wait to have this game on my PSP.

A Bit of the Story between “Golbez” and “Cecil” Seems to be Shown in a Couple of Screenshots at the Top of the Page – Man, I Wish we Could Get to Watch that Cutscene Soon Enough. Also, if you Check Out the Battle Shots, you Might Notice the Background Terrain, They’re Fighting in – it Looks Like the Moon ! (Which Makes me Wonder…Do we Get to See the “Lunar Whale” ?!)

Moving on, There’s also the Matter of the “Onion Knight”. He Gets a Little Handy-Dandy Side Box at the Last Page of the Scan (See below), but that Seems to Make a World of Difference. Looks Like Another “Costume” for the “Onion Knight” is Available, Other than his Basic Red and EX Ninja/Mage Suits.

To me it Looks More Like a Simple Color Palette Change – Kinda Like How any Other Fighting Game Allows you to Swap Character Colors – but the Source Says it’s Supposedly a “Luneth” Costume Coming from the Nintendo DS Remake.

YM Trick

With this tweak, you can now run multiple Yahoo Messenger Instances without having to download and install third party softwares like trillian. So if you have multiple accounts in Yahoo and you want to use them all… haha.. this is your chance… you can now login your not-so-hulsam YM Login and your main YM account at the same time..

Here’s how:

1. Go to Start / Run.
2. Type regedit, then hit ENTER.
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_ USER / Software / Yahoo / Pager / Test
4. On the right page, right-click and choose new Dword value.
5. Rename it as Plural.
6. Double click and assign a decimal value of 1. (even 2, 3 etc..)

You’re done. That’s how easy it is.

Multiple YM Accounts

You can now open your Yahoo Messenger and login with your main ID. Then click the Yahoo messenger icon again to create a new instance or you can go to Start>Program Yahoo Messenger then click Yahoo Messenger. You will notice that windows will now open another YM window allowing you to login with a different login id.

So no more logging out and logging in to check other accounts. Enjoy chatting…
